We are excited to meet you! Your choice to place a child with a new family is compassionate and brave. We can’t begin to imagine your journey that has led you to consider adoption, and we honor you for it.
As you work through the adoption process, we hope you can envision a future where your child grows up in a loving, safe home. If you choose us, we promise to raise your child where we teach equality for all, learn to be kind and fair, but also focus on being silly and having fun.
Our family has been blessed with varied cultural backgrounds and life experiences that help us to see the world through a welcoming lens. We feel education is very important in all stages of life, and we encourage continued personal growth from childhood through adulthood. Enriching our children with the tools to be successful, independent adults is our goal. In our home, your child will enjoy growing up with siblings, but they will enjoy individual attention along the way.
Our children know they are adopted to the extent their age allows them to understand. We will ensure that your child knows and celebrates their own unique origin story if you desire it to be shared. If our kind of family sounds like the one you would like for your child, we hope you will reach out to learn more about us. We can’t wait to meet you!
Cameron & Enrique
Hi! We are Cameron and Enrique! We both grew up in Utah and have loved raising our cute family here. Our teenage daughter is African American and was adopted at birth. Our toddler son is Caucasian and was adopted through foster care.
In our home, we eat breakfast and dinner together every day. We can be found taking neighborhood walks or watching a new TV show together. On weekends, we go hiking in the mountains and explore new trails. We also love cheering for the local college’s women’s gymnastics team. While Utah is famous for its awesome skiing, we prefer to get away to California to visit the warm beaches and Disneyland as often as we can.
One of our favorite things to grow in our garden is giant sunflowers. Our kids love planting seeds and seeing them grow through the summer to over 10 feet tall!
Our home is a five-bedroom, three-bathroom ranch in a quiet cul-de-sac. An elementary school is a walkable distance from our home. Our fenced back yard has lots of grass to run on and a small garden.
We love sitting under our party lights on summer evenings with friends chatting the night away. In the winter, Cameron decorates our yard with a dazzling Christmas light display.
One of our favorite pastimes is walking along a nearby river as well as feeding the ducks at a local pond. Close by, there are several playgrounds and splash pads, paved nature and biking trails, kid-friendly museums, botanical gardens, and an aquarium. We love living close to the mountains for hiking, snowshoeing, and canyon drives.
Adoption is the way we intend to grow our little family. On our very first date, we agreed we wanted to add more kids to our lives. Enrique adopted our daughter as an infant with his previous partner, and Cameron had yearned for years to finally become a dad.
Fast forward 10 years and as foster parents, we were able to bring our tiny son home from the hospital to live with us and adopt him when he was a year old. We want him to grow up with siblings so he can experience the joy of brothers and sisters.
Cameron is the fourth of five kids and has three brothers and one sister. Enrique is the oldest of two boys. Together we have 16 nieces and nephews. We love that our kids have several cousins their age close by.
Our families are so supportive of our desire to adopt, and they can’t wait to welcome a new grandchild to our family. Our adopted kids are loved by our extended family just as much as those born to our siblings.
